Pay is the heart of Enlighten. As a dentist, Founder & Clinical Director, he’s the one people turn to when creative decisions need to be made. He’s also the one people avoid when the final decisions need to be made (he’s no stranger to last-minute breakthrough ideas). He leads with a deep commitment to people relationships and believes in encouraging people to unlock their full potential.

Pay’s best feature is the astounding ability to turn chaos into creative ideas. Ability fuelled by a hefty caffeine addiction. He balances leadership with late-night doom scrolling and an unwavering love of politics podcasts. He says that if he could start over, he’d choose a career as an international DJ… love that for him!

As Enlighten’s CEO & Financial Director, Sanjay is the brain & logic - the yin to Pay’s yang. He’s the grounding voice of reason and the guy who decides if projects are ‘onboard’ or ‘abort’. Sanjay is also a qualified dentist, a career he’s put behind 24 years ago when he started Enlighten alongside Pay, Carla and Indy.

As Tumi’s most loyal customer, you can find quite the collection in his home. His no bullshit policy and limited attention spam ensure that meetings run on time and everyone brings their best to the table. Sanjay’s belief system rests firmly on a holy trinity: Automation, IT, and AI.

As a Dentist and Director, she plays a key role in shaping the company’s strategic direction while remaining the go-to person for any dental question. She thrives on working closely with people and leads with kindness, care and a strong commitment to human values. A true Libra, she brings balance, empathy and clarity to both her clinical and strategic roles.

Known for her warm, caring nature (with a healthy side of humour), she unwinds by watching murder mysteries — preferably with Lebanese takeout. She believes respect should always come first, no matter what, and if life ever offered her a reset button, she’d be behind a camera as a photographer. Until then, she’s happily fielding dental questions and solving fictional crimes in her downtime.

As a practicing dentist and Director, he supports Enlighten primarily through legal guidance, becoming the person the team turns to for clear, steady advice. Indy values the people at Enlighten above all else and his measured approach and eye for detail make him an essential part of the company’s foundation.

A lover of American law dramas and a cold beer. When he’s not running marathons or cycling for miles on end, he teaches himself French. He insists he’s “not egotistical, just confident” and we agree! Indian takeaway is his default setting, and nothing gets him fired up like injustice. If he were to start again, he’d be on stage as a jazz musician - or running numbers in a bank.

As HR and Compliance Manager, Indre looks after the team and ensures the workplace stays positive, fair, and aligned with best practices. She’s the person everyone turns to for a friendly chat, and she brings her naturally caring, straight-talking and people-first approach to every situation. Unsurprisingly, talking to people is her favourite part of the job.

Friendly, caring, and quietly funny, Indre unwinds with strength or Pilates sessions and an Indian takeaway while rewatching The Office (US version). In her spare time, she enjoys exploring new places with her family. She is a health enthusiast and can chew your ear off on what ingredients ruin your diet and which ones get the gold star. In another life she’d be a pharmacist.

As Creative Strategy & B2B Marketing Manager, she shapes the direction behind our B2B communications and leads the marketing strategy that positions Enlighten Smiles at the forefront of dental innovation. She’s the go-to for anything design or social-media related, and she loves directing creative projects that turn out even better than imagined. Her blend of strategic thinking and creative instinct drives the brand forward with clarity and impact.

If you hear someone singing in our office, best believe it’s her. When she isn’t baking cookies or rewatching her favourite classic rom-coms, you’ll likely find her on the lookout for the best coffee shop or daydreaming about early-2000s Matthew McConaughey. As our official Generational Liaison, she flawlessly interprets both Millennial and Gen X perspectives.

As Social Media Manager and Photographer, she runs the social channels for Enlighten and the Mini Smile Makeover course, ensuring content is creative, consistent, and engaging. She thrives on the visual side of storytelling - from photography to video - and brings each post to life with a strong creative eye. Her work keeps the brand visible, dynamic, and connected to its audience.

Fun, creative, and a serious foodie, she’s happiest editing photos in bed with a series on and Wingstop on the way and a spicy margs on the side. She firmly believes some of the best things in life are free - imagination and creativity included. She dreams of being fluent in French or Japanese, and says she wouldn’t change being a photographer for the world… although Jacob Elordi does make a strong supporting argument.

Dialling in everyday from sunny South Africa, Lerato is our graphic designer who designs weekly BAU emails while supporting the team with design-related questions and tasks and fresh creative concepts. Known for her patience and eye for detail, she brings clarity and consistency to every design task. Her work keeps communications visually strong and on brand.

Funny, patient, and quietly loving, she’s a firm believer in Netflix & chill, pizza nights, and defending her wine at all costs. Real Housewives of Durban is her go-to comfort watch, and when she’s not sewing or hiking, she’s probably dreaming of the photography career she might have chosen in another life.

As our Videographer, he brings stories to life through film, combining technical skill with a strong creative eye. A trained actor with a passion for cinematography, he understands both sides of the lens - which shows in the quality of his work. Based in London and raised in the Netherlands, he brings an international perspective and cinematic ambition to every project.

Rich doesn’t take himself too seriously - but he absolutely takes his craft seriously. Pescatarian by choice but never one to turn down a good dessert, he balances discipline with a sweet tooth. Funny, hardworking, and quietly talented, he’s happiest behind the lens creating something that looks effortlessly brilliant. We fully expect “Big Shot Director” to appear in his email signature one day.

As Marketing Executive, Andreea manages social media accounts and creates engaging content, with a strong focus on Instagram. Her passion for all things photography and marketing, combined with strong industry knowledge, makes her ideally suited to her role. She brings fresh ideas, creativity, and consistency to everything she works on.

Creative, thoughtful, and quietly determined, she unwinds with Instagram doomscrolling, burger & chips, and Gogglebox nights. Her outfits never miss - she’s genuinely passionate about style and self-expression. Whether she’s baking, hiking, or learning something new (often AI-related), she brings the same care and intention to everything she does.

As Sales Manager, she brings big energy and clear direction, helping both her team and her clients find the solutions they need. She loves talking to people, understanding what they’re looking for, and guiding them to the right fit. Focused, driven, and proudly Capricorn, she still jumps in to close a deal whenever she feels like showing she’s still got it.

People often assume she’s a guy as we all call her ‘George’. She loves an Coconut Margarita and her favourite colour is… any shade blue. She’s obsessed with Mickie Mouse and insists Charlie Hunnam has the perfect smile… but we’re pretty sure it’s not just the smile she’s rating.

As Senior Account Manager, she works closely with dental groups to help them deliver the world’s leading whitening system to their patients. She loves being part of a collaborative, high-energy team and brings warmth, insight, and genuine care to every client relationship. Empowering others to succeed is at the heart of everything she does.

Fun, free-spirited, and kind, she unwinds with pizza, a spicy marg, and whatever hilarious or eye-opening documentary she’s currently obsessed with - she always has a new recommendation ready. She’s the unofficial office guide for gigs and festivals, knows the alphabet in sign language, and has learning to DJ firmly on her future to-do list. In another life, she’d be a crypto entrepreneur… or possibly behind the decks.

As Account Manager, she supports dental practices by making sure everything runs smoothly, from product needs to ongoing relationship management. Building trust and meaningful relationships is the part of the role she loves most.

Part-time “crazy cat lady,” full-time relationship builder, she finds joy in baking (when her cats allow it), crafting miniature house displays, and DJing like it’s 2am in Ibiza. As an Account Manager, she builds trusted relationships with providers, acting as a key link between customers and Enlighten. She’s often called on to help navigate tricky situations, brainstorm solutions, or step in when a steady, people-focused approach is needed. A self-confessed Pisces who cries easily, laughs loudly, and is somehow still painfully shy, she unwinds by either annoying her cats or binge-watching truly terrible reality TV (dubbed or not). Piña Coladas are always the answer, Nick Jonas has somehow made a comeback, and she’s fiercely opinionated on just about everything. When she’s not talking cars (the backyard-built, Enzo-wouldn’t-approve kind) she’s dreaming of a life spent fostering animals… or casually becoming an F1 driver.

As an Account Manager, she builds and nurtures strong relationships with dental practices, ensuring they feel supported, heard, and well looked after. Known for her positive energy and excellent phone manner, she brings clarity, warmth, and straight-talking honesty to every conversation. Her focus is always on strengthening partnerships and making sure her accounts thrive.

Young, bubbly, and always smiling, she’s the kind of person who lifts the room the moment she walks in. When she’s not on calls, she’s balancing mummy life with two precious girls, squeezing in workouts, scrolling TikTok, or sipping an espresso martini or a seasonal matcha (she rotates). A self-confessed trash TV lover and proud bookworm, she’s big on family, fashion, and finding joy in the little things - all while somehow keeping her energy levels impressively high.

As Product & Growth Manager, Ana takes on the projects that sit between functions and gets them moving. Product development is where she's most at home, taking an early idea and shaping it into something real through research, formulation, packaging, suppliers and positioning. That work feeds directly into the D2C side of the business, where she's focused on building out new products and growing the D2C channel.

Ana unwinds by playing competitive tennis, watching nature, space or physics documentaries or rewatching The Big Bang Theory and Friends for the hundredth time, on rotation. Outside work, it's mostly tennis. A decent player in her own right, she also sends the weekly club reports to her local paper, keeps up with every tournament going, and a bucket list item is to attend every Grand Slam at least once. She's a people person, with one notable exception: anyone who thinks babies or children should be banned from planes, pubs and restaurants. She will cheerfully pick that fight.

As Accounts & Operations Manager, she oversees multiple departments including the warehouse, lab, and accounts, keeping everything running smoothly behind the scenes. She’s the person everyone turns to for answers - from packaging and pricing to invoicing, staffing, and problem-solving. Deeply committed to her teams, she leads with clarity, care, and consistency.

Straight-talking to the core, she calls out nonsense the moment it appears - there’s absolutely no bullshitting her, and occasionally the filter goes missing entirely (which is half the fun). Fiercely protective of her people, she loves cooking and spending time with friends, usually with Indian food involved. She believes everyone deserves equal chances and genuine respect, full stop.

As Accounts Administrator, she keeps financial records organised and up to date, handling invoices, payments, and reconciliations to keep everything running smoothly. Nilam is the go-to for customer payment queries and takes pride in keeping the numbers clear and accurate.

Friendly, supportive, and quietly thoughtful, Nilam switches off with Instagram or a good movie. When she needs a break from spreadsheets, she likes to unwind with reality TV. She firmly believes returning your shopping cart says a lot about your character. Calm by nature, she has a talent for keeping things simple and peaceful, even when life gets complicated.

As Finance Manager, he oversees the company’s core financial operations, ensuring accuracy across accounts, transactions, and reporting. His role connects every part of the business, from payments and reconciliations to financial statements and compliance. With a strong numbers-focus, he keeps the company’s finances clear, accurate, and well organised.

Thoughtful, principled, and quietly strong, he values respect, understanding, and looking out for others - especially those who need support. He enjoys staying active with walks or gym sessions, keeping up with the news, and relaxing with good TV and films. Always open to learning something new, he’s generous with her knowledge and happy to help whenever he can.

As Technical Lead - Platform & Integrations, he leads the technical side of the platform and keeps systems, automations, and integrations running smoothly. He’s the go-to for technical decisions and solving complex issues. His focus is on making systems simple, reliable, and easy for the team to use.

Calm, supportive, and dependable, he unwinds with a good book, Netflix, and a plate of biryani. He values respect above all else and enjoys keeping things steady, both at work and at home. When he’s not cooking or playing cricket, he’s usually thinking about how to make systems better.

As Business Systems & Integrations Engineer, she helps keep daily operations running smoothly by solving issues, supporting the team, and improving efficiency. She’s the go-to for technical guidance around systems, data flow, and troubleshooting. Her focus is on building integrations that help everything work better together - and even if she had her time again, she’d still choose the same career path.

Reliable, thoughtful, and organised, Mohini enjoys walks, and spending time with family with cosy meals. When she needs to switch off, she’s either sketching or experimenting with a new dish. When asked who inspires her, she points to MS Dhoni - she admires his calm leadership and steady approach under pressure.

As Backend & Automation Engineer (n8n), he improves internal processes by building automations that reduce repetitive work and save time. He’s the go-to person when teams want smoother workflows or smarter systems. His focus is on creating practical solutions that make everyday work easier.

As IT Systems Manager and NetSuite Administrator, he oversees and optimises the company’s IT infrastructure and ERP systems to keep operations running smoothly. He’s the go-to for troubleshooting, automation, and system improvements, working closely with both, internal teams and customers. Rohan’s daily focus is on creating practical solutions that save time and make everyday work easier.

Sushi is her go-to takeaway choice, she loves cooking and playing guitar, and occasionally likes to “play detective.” Her sweet nature shines through when she says that in another life, she would have loved to work with children.

As a Lab Process Worker, she prepares models, cuts trays, and finishes whitening trays to meet lab standards. She works closely with the team to double-check details and keep everything accurate and on time. She enjoys being part of a supportive environment where teamwork directly impacts the quality of the final result.

Supportive, hardworking, and reliable, Alexandra believes mental health should be treated just as seriously as physical health - compassion always comes first. After a focused day in the lab, she switches off with comfort food, easy-watch TV, and simple evenings at home. With a background as a nail technician and an interest in psychology, she’s naturally drawn to both the technical and the human side of everything she does.

Often described as caring, joyful, and thoughtful, Andreea is happiest keeping up with the Kardashians with an Aperol Spritz in her hand. We have had a bone to pick with her: she recently made the claim that the TV show Friends is overrated - which may or may not impact the feedback on her future appraisals…! When she’s not baking, she’s daydreaming about a future on stage as an actor - with none other than Charlie Hunnam as her co-star.

Maria has been a Lab Process Worker for over 5 years and she creates our signature custom-made whitening trays with care and precision. People tend to come to her for support when working on cases with special requirements. She’s known for her patience and attention to detail, ensuring every tray is comfortable and made to a high standard. Her work plays a direct role in ensuring patient satisfaction.

Calm by nature, responsible by reputation, and quietly driven, Maria often catches people off guard when she casually mentions she used to be a professional footballer. These days, recovery looks more like a warm drink, easy-watch TV, and the occasional football-highlights binge. Lionel Messi is her forever crush (hardly shocking), and if she had her time again, she says she’d still choose dentistry - helping people smile beats match day any time.

As a Lab Process Worker, Devyani is part of the team behind the high-quality whitening trays we’re known for. From prepping models to tray production, she helps make sure every detail meets the standard that protects our reputation. Curious and hands-on, she takes real pride in getting things right.

Friendly, curious, and quietly funny, she’s a strong believer in the power of a really good nap. She relaxes with miniature cooking videos and soup dumplings, and somehow manages to cook a recipe perfectly after watching it just once. Next on her list: learning contemporary dance - or teaching, if she ever switches lanes.

As a Lab Process Worker, Isha creates professional customised dental whitening trays and carries out quality checks to ensure every product meets professional standards. She’s the person others turn to when they need a second check on tray fit or precision. Her focus is on quality, consistency… you guessed it: precision!

As a music and dance lover, Isha loves anything creative. Her version of “trash TV” is watching chaotic breakdowns of buggy algorithms - drama, just more technical. Her favourite guilty pleasure activity is ordering a cheeky Subway takeaway. Always curious, she enjoys learning anything new, especially when it involves art or creativity.
